LED technology, also known by solid state lighting, stands for a robust and, above all, efficient technology of the future. LEDs can be switched on and off instantly in line with operation cycles, so energy is consumed only when necessary. This makes the advantage of the LED technology clear: the service life of the LEDs is equal to the actual usage time. This makes UV LED light sources substantially more efficient and economical in cycled operation.
All components that are part of the system such as cooling, control and power supply units are optimally matched to each other. The long life of the UV LEDs is guaranteed by a powerful thermal management system.
Moreover, the chip-on-board technology ensures high power density and enables complex shapes to adapt to almost any contour. Heraeus has set up its own development and assembly line at its Hanau headquarters which is used to assemble UV LED modules from LED chips. The assembled LED modules are measured and tested in our own accredited measurement laboratory.
